The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai is called CPS. The roots of this institution date back to the year 1913. C.P.S. Recognition & Affiliation



All Diplomas/Fellowships and certificate medical courses are recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to provide postgraduate education in India. The Medical Council of Maharashtra, Gujrat, Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, etc., recognize C.P.S. The Union Territory of Dadar and Nagar Haveli also acknowledges C.P.S. Approximately 20 organizations of identical fields are affiliated with delivering medical training under C.P.S. affiliation in Gujrat. However, more than 100 medical colleges for C.P.S. involving private medical Colleges, Government Medical Colleges, and deemed universities recognized by U.G.C. are affiliated with C.P.S. for delivering P.G. medical training programs. So, this is how C.P.S. admissions assist graduate doctors in pursuing a specialized medical training course in a particular field to become a specialist Doctor or get an equivalent degree to MD/MS in India.



CPS Admission Process


The important information for the CPS admission process is listed below


  1. Per the new rule, CPS/FCPS admission will be solely based on marks scored in the NEET exam. Notice for admission shall be displayed on the official website of CPS/FCPS.
  2. CPS/FCPS Admission procedure 2024-2025 is a state Centralised Admission Process. The authority to conduct online CPS/FCPS Admission is D.M.E.R. Mumbai.
  3. Candidates need to visit the website at www.med-edu.infor online registration based on NEET PG Score 2024-2025. Candidates can apply to Diploma/Fellowship Courses in various Govt.Private medical colleges in Maharashtra
  4. To secure a Clinical or Para-clinical seat in Deemed Medical Colleges, candidates must register online at www.dmer.orgTwo rounds of counselling take place followed by a Mop-Up round of CPS/FCPS Admission 2024-2025 is subject to the availability of Diploma or Fellowship Seats after the 2nd counselling round.

Eligibility Criteria for F.C.P.S. Medicine


  1. A student who has passed the M.B.B.S., or equivalent, an examination from a medical college acknowledged by the Medical Council of India.
  2. A student who has completed a one-year compulsory internship. University Internship Completion Certificate is compulsory.
  3. A candidate who has appeared for NEET-PG 2024-2025. However, students should note that only NEET-eligible students shall be considered for admission in the initial stages of Central Counselling. If seats remain vacant, the decision concerning the admission of non-eligible candidates shall be taken according to the directions of the Central Government/Respective State Government.
  4. A student shall have a permanent registration certificate from the State Medical Council of the individual state at the time of joining.
  5. The “Foreign Medical Graduates” shall have successfully passed the qualifying exam or eligibility test organised by N.B.E., New Delhi.
  6. Besides the above points, a student desirous of a P.G. seat in Maharashtra in a college run by the Government, Private, or any local body should have passed an M.B.B.S. from any college/University in Maharashtra. Students who have passed M.B.B.S. from outside of the state of Maharashtra shall not be qualified for admission to Government colleges, Corporation institutions or colleges run by local bodies in Maharashtra.
